I think they used Worthington steel in Delta Ohio as there training ground. They'd do the same thing. Most of them were nice enough guys and if you helped them they would pull up into the next bay or outside if it but if you didn't point it out them they'd do the whole thing where they sat.

Well there is no reason for me to consider helping someone TARP in order for them to move out of the way. same thing happened today. got called back to dock, shipper said back in the next avail dock. I drove back. all 3 docks were full. 2 trucks were not able to move due to actual loading of coils. the last dock. a T.M.C. DRIVER in there with a entire load of skidded coils, entirely tarped & maybe 20 or so bungies left to put on. you could look at the load & know the driver had to be in there quite a long time already. I just walked towards him & he said you need to get in? Yes please. thank you sir, I replied. all these drivers know there is a place to pull out. it is right in front of them. they see a lot of others drivers right in front of them all tarping outside the docks.

I got two 24 ton coils on. Why they would be loaded at a dock, I don't know. I never have. It's a dead mans load. have had a fork lift there for 30 minutes there before. You keep it there till it's secure. 8 chains minimum, blocks, if you set this down on my wagon before I say so, we have problems.

I cause no harm. A securement is one thing, gift wrapping is another. I could care less about tarps. You know what I mean. :)

I saw a coil run over a car before. Chains snapped like butter. That's why you use car tire pads & 8 chains, & wooden blocks. You stop to fast, You die. Pretty much it. Hauling a tanker is safer.

There is no Kiddie time in trucking. It's the real deal. Not like the library. Not the job I wanted. I will turn this one in. Don't work that way. Your the Captain. the Boss. Whatever happens is on your shoulders. Some excel, some cry for their Mommas. Either way it's real. Made 190 last year, after expenses. I'm just a truck driver.

Some joints despise you using chains on skidded coils. Always used straps on those.

Probably company policy since TMC has a record of low speed incidents of losing loads leaving shipper's docks. They will flip a 4x4 timber off their trailer in 1st gear!
And if there's several of them there they never know which other one will stab them in the back and report them for moving.

Just another example of why these training companies drag down the flatbed sector.
