These model 64 type Lincolns also came out on a movie called Time. Same look differant color, had the same type of rims, the big 22" solid crome dish with a 4" lip.
My boy had one of the Lincolns cousin cars, the Ford Galaxy 500. It was actually a 65 and it had a 7 litre 428 big block in it. The body styles looked a lot like the 64 Lincolns.
As the Galaxy 500 was the counter product to compete against the Chevy Impala the Lincons Continentals would take the luxry role fore ford.
Sucker's could move for such a big car, and over all, were some bad ### cars that could get up and go.
That Galaxy was also central to a music video called (Back to the hotel) by N2 DEEP, one of the first white artist to pioneer in rap music.
They go so far back in the music, you can can pretty much say they would be considerd pioneers in the music period.
Over all, they were some pretty bad ### cars, one of the best looking for sure.
Also notice the suicide doors on the Lincoln, they came standard like that, and it was one of they're unique feartures at that time.

This takes us to the ford Galaxie 500 built as a counter production to compete with GM's Chevy Impala, the Galaxies were Fords full size muscle car of the day. Built in three different countries around the world, it came in different engine specs names and were built in volumes.
The Galaxy 500 was built in the US and Australia, The LTD was was originaly built in Brazil.
Engine sizes varied, the Largest in a 7 liter 427 big block cc. to the 5 liter 330 Representing Ford in the American Muscle cars in its full size editions at that time..
As classifications varies differentiate in different countries.
Germans would consider a 5 liter 302 a big block and still do, as Americans would just consider it a small block engine.
Here goes a some right here.
My friend owned one that looked like this one,as concervative as it looks it could really get up and go, as it had a 427 in it.
Here goes one representing the horse of galaxies right here..
Here goes a video better fitting for it in its time. Let me remind you that these are full size cars back from the days not like the smaller coups like the mustangs
Camaros and other smaller muscle cars in there time.
Most of those were Galaxies in there different years, I think I seen a. Grand Torino a Couger aPontiac and a couple Impalas as well.
And here goes a 63 r-code, resembling the earlier years as a they took a significant change in 65 from its earlier models. Check it out, as the r-code came stock with a 427 big block and duel 4 barrel holley's straight from the factory.

Tahoe
I'd say the twins were pumping out more than 4and a half lbs. Probably more like 10 or more. Ya the stock engine would[ haft to have the main girdle put in, and maybe foged pistons and arms to take the pressure.
Check out these pictures here, I just took them today.
Its a 1969 Chevy S-10 pick up.

Nope. Only 4.5lb. It was set low until the engine was done. Friends divorced forced the sale. I know. I've driven it, did some work on it.full speed Thanks this.

Ya I would say the engine is probably pumping out about 350 hp., wich pretty good for a V6 becouse for a long time getting over 300hp. From a v-8 was the goal. Now days they can do that in there sleep.
The mustang a dreamy car but yours is fine, and I bet its a blast to drive with that supper charger in it.
Remember your a truck driver, so no more dings and no accidents. That's not in our nature.
Any how great car and thanks for posting.Last edited: Oct 15, 2013

The dings are inherited dings from the previous owner. I'll be getting them worked out and the body smoothed over before I start blowing money on power upgrades.full speed Thanks this.

Nice truck but it's not a '69 and not an S10.
That body was '64-'66 and the half ton trucks were C10's.
'60-'63 were similar but with the wrap around windshield.
I've owned '60,'62,'64 & '66 Chevys as well as a '69 among others.full speed Thanks this. -
Love the big Fords, that wheelie car is a mid size car though,it's a Fairlane.

full speed Thanks this. -
Ok your probably right about the c10, the guy at the shop was the one that told me it was a 69. That could be bad info though. I seen the 10 on the side of it and asumed it was an old s10.
But the wheelie car is definataly a Galaxie though, my body owned one back in the days, we used to cruise around in it all over the place..
The Fairlain is a cusin and looks a lot like it, but this model Galaxie has a more squar body. I'll chexk it out though.
After taking a closer look I noticed the galaxies usually have galaxie writen on the front fender.Last edited: Oct 21, 2013

Good idea, seems like it has plenty power now. Getting the body work done would be in propper order.
Doing the suspension and engine first would be putting the trailer in front of the truck.
The first impression people are going to get from it are gonna be on how it looks.
