frac...equipment operator...everyone starts off as a temp through a staffing agency..i believe he told me the agency was called SOS staffing...if u havent noticed, schlumberger doesnt have any equipment operator job listings on their website, just "top notch college degree" type careers. After 6 months theyll bump u up from 15 an hr to 18+ according to him.. its a 6 on 3 off...he reports to the yard in san antonio texas...another thing he mentioned is the first day of the work week, they usually put in 18 hr shift, after that its 14-15....day shift is 230am and night shift is 230pm....

When I worked on the western slope of CO about 5 ago years I hauled water to the frac tank farms and would talk to the Schlumberger hands daily---its like delivering to the same warehouse all day. Anyhow, all of the frac hands started with SOS employment out of the Grand Junction office and if the company liked them after 90 days they were sent to a truck driving school to get their CDL. So evidently it is the same procedure nationwide with the company.Last edited: Oct 15, 2013

So is it best to go through Shlumberger or SOS?

I work with SLB in Midland Tx. I had to go thru SOS temp service. They will do all the leg work to get you into the procedures for SLB. Then working with SLB, you look them over & they look you over in the courting period of 90 days, now I am offered a perm. position with SLB! $15 hr. starting via sos... now $17 with SLB, THEN to $19 hr. after I do the right trng paperwork etc. (within about 2-4 weeks after the 90 days). I work in the "cement" side of the buz. The iron is only 2" vs 4" lotta manual labor... NOT JUST TRUCK DRIVING HERE!!!!!

So MadMax were you fracing at first then was switched to cementing? And are yall busy with lots of work?
