As far as food goes at a truck stop, would you rather see a franchise in there that you already know the food (McDonalds, Taco Bell, Subway, etc.) or would you rather have a sit down home-made food type restaurant?
Fast food or sit down restaurant?

HMMMM.....good question!
I eat fast food once in a while, but I really like the atmosphere of a sit down restaurant.
-
I agree. The atmosphere does make a difference.
But also a good ole home cooked type of meal will make a guys day. Hubby always looks for mom and pop places to eat. Sometimes he hits the jack pot, other times not so good, but the fact is, he doesn't much like living on the fast food meals. -
Give me a solid meal with meat , potatoes , and veggies please . I ate enough food out of a bag years ago to last me a lifetime .
A person has to take the time to enjoy a good ole home cooked meal .
Or at least something close . -
a restraunt if it's good. Lunch I will usually just grab something fast but I love a big sit down breakfast

I love Taco Bell. Hmmm, beans and onions and sour cream and spicy, greasy meats. Hmmm. Crunchy, salty, spicy washed down with a huge Mountain Dew. Hmmm. What time is it? Hey! They're open late.
Sigh... Given the choice, I'll choose healthy and balanced on most days, but, I sure do love Taco Bell. -
Fast food is fine for me. I have little interest in a restaurant. Most of the time, I take the food back to the truck.

my husband was one that would eat in the resturant and he would get fast food if there was no wherelse to eat. but that was until we had our second kid and finances got a little tight for a while so he just bought him a little propane grill and he buys meat once a week and makes his own meals..when he has the time. cut down on cost and he got a good (and he knew it would be good) home cooked meal most every night.

fast food! when I started driving, I thought "I'm going to have a nice sit down meal at a restaurant, instead of eating fast food all the time." I quickly learned after eating at several "real" restaurants, that the food is horrible, low quality and ridiculously overpriced. at least with fast food, you know what you're getting, and it's always hot and fresh. I'll have to pass on the $7.99 salisbury "steak," "mashed potatoes," and stale, burnt cornbread.

Personally I would like to see both. That way you could sit down and have a decent meal when you have time or get something quick when you are in a hurry.
