I wasn't thinking about the damage to the truck or whatever vehicle you are driving. I was more interested in dinner after I ran over the animal! lol

    Deer hunting....

Missed the biggest buck I've seen in 20 years...at 20 yards, lol.

Got a good sized spike the next day though...meat in the freezer.

I've hit three in the truck and I hope it never happens again because my wife cried for a solid hour each time and was furious at me for killing it, lol.

With a crossbow? Now that is what I call "Buck Fever". Never happens to me though! 4 sits so far this year 0 deer sightings, been a little to warm for good movement. Gonna try again in the morning, stand that hasn't been hunted in 2 seasons, so maybe my luck will change.

Yes sir...been a long time since I got "the fever" that bad...ya just don't see bucks like that everyday, lol...kinda spooked "me".

Truthfully, the reason I missed is that it was getting pretty dark down in that holler (still legal shooting hours though) and my crossbow scope has 4 crosshairs in it...not illuminated...I'm pretty sure I used the wrong one.

New crossbow...not used to the scope...unfamiliar equipment...you know how it is.

Hope ya get a big one treestand!

Put some meat in the freezer Sunday. 100 yard shot .50 cal muzzleloading. Button buck as it was antlerless only. Was eating dinner on the front porch. It never took.a.step.
