Both. Some recruiters came. The one company that didn't resonate well with any of us is PTL. That also didn't resonate well with the instructor either.

PTL trucks have APU's and they hire new drivers with criminal records and less than perfect MVR's. They also have a lease-to-own program.ZEBOV Thanks this.

Hmm. I may have to give it a shot. It scared all of us that if any of us start with PTL, we would be teamed with someone who likely has less experience than any of us for 40,000 miles.

I wouldn't be concerned about the teaming; just be a safe driver, no speeding and check the mirrors often. We all started out from day one; everyone one of us did.ZEBOV Thanks this.

Buel Inc. also has a lease program.
They hire drivers with a troubled past.Last edited: Oct 16, 2013

*shudders* I don't think I'll go through a company's lease program unless that is the only way to have a truck under my name.
