With flat bedding you get to live an adventure
That is true, but it may or may not be the "adventure" that seems to be lighting up your eyes. Flatbedding is a LOT of work. Hope it turns out well for you.

How serious are you about moving? Because if you want more home time, that's about what you'll have to do. Otherwise, they probably won't load him to Florida as often as you would both like. There's just not much that comes out, except the senior snowbirds that head back north every spring like migratory birds. LOL!!
Hey, there's a thought. We could start up a migratory senior hauling service. Every spring and fall, we'd be butt deep in loads. -

Well, I don't necessarily mean move to Texas. What I mean is move up out of Florida. Like Georgia or Alabama. Up into the freight lanes. Although Texas isn't a bad place. I would love to move back to the southwest. I used to live in Arizona. Loved the desert. I only stay here in Indiana because my ex has custody of my two girls and I already play hell just to see them every other weekend. If I moved, I'd never see them. He'd make sure of it. If it weren't for them, I'd be gone.

Kinghunter, you might check out carhauling. It's definately not boring and there is alot of trafic in and out of Florida and pays very well.

Chestnut67, That is a very good idea.
I have the feeling that Kinghunter is like we were at that age. I preferred the local flatbedding, the gasoline tankers, and such, because I enjoyed the challenge of trying to get into and out of the tight places.
Now I enjoy setting the cruise at 65 and rolling down the big slab, but back then I preferred the challenge of the in town deliveries.
Am I reading you correctly on this, Kinghunter? -
Lastkidpicked,
You are reading me spot on. I like a challenge but I want an adenture in addition. I do not know any car haulers that hire new gu7ys. I am looking into local work too in case all else fails.
