There are not that many tax advantages that people seem to think on here.

Otherwise, there would be no incentive to ever not have students graduate.

I'll offer responsible rebuttal to that RM, That is the advantage...to graduate them and get them rolling and then replace them. Has to be the case.....

For we know it costs some 5 grand to get a driver up to van speed , if there were no incentive to grad him and then fire him for a minor infraction then the carrier would go broke ( without incentives ) churning the bodies. The orientation numbers are staggering at the mega carriers and the retention is very poor. Probably less than 20% at 24 months. Long before the driver has generated a solid return for the carrier.

If there is one thing that you can count on that is mega mgmt. will do exactly what's best for him and if he doesn't make money at it he will stop doing it. ( EG: USA trucks intermodal ventures ) ( EG: Knights Port Services Division )

I'm sure they get solid tax credits from my uncle for each driver they turn out.

Very limited amounts. I have seen very little "tax credits" on it.

Here is something that most don't think about, all these MEGA carriers have way deeper pockets than you and I, They can hold out longer than we can to pay lawyers, they will appeal appeal appeal, Until guess what? lawyers say they cant continue unless their receive some $$$, And the case slowly disappears, sorry but the truth, They where not forced into employment, they could have easily said no thank you I will seek employment else where, But did they do that? NO!, they saw a easy way to obtain a CDL, signed on the bottom line, then! OH I'm suing because I don't think they paid me enough, I know they told me what I'd get as a student but so what, WAAA WAAA WAAA

Whoa whoa whoa....dont go applying logic to this equation.

This is 'Merica son....no body takes responsibility for their own actions here....no body does what it takes to get ahead....its easier just to blame the deep pockets and hire a lawyer.
