First it was majorly flu-like, now its just generally crappy with a bad bad chest rattle and coughing si much and hard I end up throwing up, ive coughed my throat raw and bladder is compromised. Bad muscle aches from all the hacking. Officially dying. Fuel sensor fixed. Tomorrrpw pick up Officr Depot load in IL going to Denver.

Im in Cheyenne tonight, and it is snowing. I ran into the snow in Western, Nebraska around Kimball and it was snowing hard, but the closer I got to Cheyenne it let up some. I guess winter is here, so Im going back to Florida.

 

That sounds so bad! Have you ever tried Emergen-C packets that you mix with water? They contain 1,000 mg of vitamin C and have other vitamins and electrolytes. Husband carries a box of the packets with him. They really seem to help plus give you a nice little energy boost when you are so run down and trying to continue working. Many doctors recommend them. Any health food store has them but WalMart and Walgreens have started carrying them also. They are in the vitamin section. The air in those trucks is very dry and going to aggravate a cough and make it harder to get rid of. Lots of fluids, Mucinex, plain old fashioned peppermint candy, and tea with honey. Some of the cold and flu medications will be too drying and make the cough worse. The doctor that we use also recommends Sambucol, it comes in a cough syrup or I just looked and WalMart has it in a fast melt tablet. I hope you feel better soon.

 

I think they are saying some snow in western Kansas this weekend also.

 

Good Morning Fellow drivers and HometimeQueen, just want to give an update I'm a US Xpress driver meeting up my trainer in Oklahoma City This week and go out with him for 3-4 weeks then come back and get an upgrade go home for a few days and then come back to meet up with another trainee like myself and do team for a month then go North East regional. Orientation is not too bad 3 days then get assigned a trainer. Hotel isn't too bad not all that either not much to offer there laundry but that's all. Food well ya have a Mcdonalds down the block and the hotels has some menus to some restaurants but the best place I ordered from was Corretti's Pizza great food they deliver too. Well drivers I'll keep you all updated in a couple of more days God Bless You all....

Im somewhat alive. Barely. Coughed so hard all night my whole body hurts and I pulled a groin muscle, so am gimpy. I pick up this evening in Carol Stream. Then get to run toward the snow and go play in Denver for a minute. Think I might try to rush it there in hopes of getting a swap, but if I dont get swapped, I will have almost a full day of downtime which isnt bad since Im sick. Either way, I win.

I dont mind if my e-cig is killing me. I like it more than real cigs and ((other than being sick right now)) I have stopped that horrible hacking smokers' cough that was forcing me to lose sleep.

I go to pick and the dispatcher says TA cancelled this load yesterday. SMH but they got me another one that delivers tuesday in Ia so I write my DM and ask him if he can move up the appointment time and he says it is a first come first serve place so I will be there early Monday morning. First check not to bad since I didnt run the first weekend a little over $600. Will be very interested in next one as they told us in orientation first two weeks are no truck payments and I asked if that included the orientation week and the lady said no the first 2 weeks we run. Interested if they will keep their word as I bumped into a driver at delivery and he said they charged him a truck payment in second check.
