I saw that, Alaska would be wicked cool to get into to, I'm excited for you. As far as paperwork goes, it's faxed to our customs lady back in Redmond either by me or the shipper with the PARS sticker on it. She then takes care of the rest.

The brokers have offices right there at the border if any problems should arise.

Back from Calgary, sitting in Bonners Ferry, ID for the night. Had my oranges confiscated at the border, I guess you can't have citrus fruit in the truck. I'm ticked because that's my favorite fruit lol.

Will head over to Kettle Falls in the morning and head over to Richmond, BC for a Thursday morning delivery. After that, I'll be picking up in the Tacoma area going towards the yard as I need a few minor things fixed before winter gears up out here too bad.

Miles for last week's pay period (Tuesday at noon-Tuesday at noon) were 2725 plus two tarps and a Canada crossing. Gotta keep it moving.

I'd get into so much trouble with a question like that directed at me! "Why, I'm hauling 5x10^18 kg of air, sir. Are you sure I won't break the scale? Do you want to check that I have it secured properly?" Lol

That's 5.000.000.000.000.000 metric tons, for the math-impaired. The avg volume of the Earth's atmosphere. ;)

I know, I know. They caught the oranges before I could pull off the master plan.

As far as the border question, well, you just can't fix stupid.

Home until Monday. The folks in Tacoma were nice enough to load me at 1900 on Thursday night which was nice. Got it strapped and tarped and spent the night in my bed. Woke up and split logged the day to get done earlier. Got unloaded in Prineville, OR bounced over to the yard to get a tractor and trailer chassis lube done. The guys at the shop got me in an out so I didn't have to sit for two hours to complete my split.

My first time home empty, but I pick up first thing Monday morning in Portland going to Canmore, AB for a Tuesday delivery. Gonna have to boogie to get it in before payroll cutoff but me and Jolene are gonna try.

    Have a great weekend everyone!

Back stateside, in the usual hiding spot in Idaho. Been running my tail off so far this week, over 1200 miles already. Delivered in Canmore, AB this afternoon and all I have to say is wow. Just beautiful up there. Didn't get it delivered before cutoff but it's a good start to next week and I'm planning on leaving out on Sunday.

Tomorrow I pick up in Athol, ID going to Prineville for Thursday morning. Don't know after that, so we'll see.

Last week's check looked like this: 2375 miles, 3 tarps, and 1 Canada crossing which comes out to over $1000 gross. I'll take it spending 4 nights in my own bed.

Good night all. Picture is from where I unloaded.

Delivered in Prineville yesterday morning. It's always nice rolling up frozen tarps first thing in the morning, only to go a mile down the road to tarp again. This load I picked up is literally a life sized game of Jenga. 48 pallets of Jenga. It took them longer to load it than it took me to get it strapped down and tarped. It was a minefield up there with all those gaps and the load swaying side to side lol. Wasn't able to get the load off yesterday because receiver only took until 4, so I'm getting ready to kick it off this morning after sleeping in my own bed again. I'll pick up in Portland again and head to Calgary for a Monday morning delivery.

    Be safe all.

You must have picked up one of those loads of moulding and cutstock. They can be interesting to say the least. You'll get more opportunity to haul those. Sucks though having to sleep at home doesn't it. :biggrin_25522:

The hyster guy wrote on the BOL "some very poor pallets". There were some real treats on there.

These 2900 mile weeks with 2 tarps and 2 Canada crossings are really hurting my feelings too.

After I deliver in Calgary on Monday, I'll be reloading out of there going to Seattle.

Spending the night in North Bend, deliver in Seattle at 0500 tomorrow morning. Hopefully that will be early enough to beat traffic. Picked up a load of drywall in Calgary and they loaded it in a staggered formation, took a little maneuvering to get the tarping done.

After I deliver in Seattle, I'll be heading down to Portland
to pick up going to Surrey, BC for Thursday. After I get that kicked off, I'll be picking up in Renton, WA going to Redmond for Friday. Depending on when I get empty on Friday, I'll be on one of three loads picking up Friday near Portland, all over a thousand miles.

Last week was 2851 miles, 2 tarps, and two Canada crossings. Ayuh.
