I live near Seattle Washington and I am 20 years old. I need to find a job within a month to provide for my family. I am currently in Commercial Driving School and I test next week. Anyone have and ideas on what my options are for finding someone who will hire under 21? I am willing to do what it takes. I turn 21 in March. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

When I first started driving back in 84, I drove dump trucks for Construction. I also hauled equipment to various sites. That will give you some chain down, flatbed experience. Your young, I would start applying for state positions. They have trucks all over the place. Get your Hazmat, and tanker endorsements. They like that. Good luck

Check Careerbuider website. You probably know you will be limited to driving within the state until you're 21. Check household movers companies; might be hired to work as a helper and/or driver within the state.
Google household movers and check the yellow pages for movers and their agents. Many smaller moving companies work as agents for the major companies such as Mayflower, North American Van Lines, etc. -
Household Movers (bedbuggers) :

If you wanna drive trk over the road, you have to wait till you are 21.Its companies policy and the law nationwide. But you can haul intrastate, which means 18 and only within your state. But that still poses a problem, who trains for intrastate.Chinatown listed a lot of moving companies, there are drivers that hire ppl to ride along with them and helps unload the furniture and stuff.Maybe you could try that till you're 21 and learn from the passenger side everything about driving a big rig.
