I get it lol, your op was clear, but other drivers are saying you dont need to log the time. the op is correct, the things other drivers are saying is incorrect.

So what you are saying is, I need to log the time it takes me to pee? Going with your reasoning, you log everything that is not required by the regulations. If you don't have to do it, you aren't required to spend any time doing it.

Nah, no need to log it, just flag it! But whatever you do, don't "wave the flag!" (at least in public):biggrin_25522:

OK, admittedly I've been out of the business for a long time, and I know regulations change. But, if my memory is right, (which may or may not be,) according to the law, you HAD to log a "post trip." Company policy is not necessarily the same as the law. Of course it should follow the law, but they can add as much stuff in there as they can think up.

I thought we were talking about what is required by law.

It pays to read that little green book, folks. Those government officials know most of us don't read the book, or understand it very well. (Who can with all of their gobbledygook?) Many a trucker has saved himself/herself a lot of money by being familiar with that handbook.

You do know why they make the book green colored, dont'cha?
That's so it blends in well with the same color mold that gathers on it, from years of sitting dormant & not being used.

How many miles do you average a week? Is it your trailer?
