Start at the Petro in Fargo, ND. End at 1001 Sherwin Rd Winnipe, Mb. Putting it on Prefer made it worse. It will take you right Downtown that way.

I am near Portland, Oregon. If you are talking about here, and you feel like it, please post the start and end of the trip. I would like to run it and see what the different freeway settings do on this discrepancy you are talking about will do on mine. Thanks.

Mark 700 S. Jaye street in Porterville, Ca. coming off the 190 going to a new arco station the unit had a fit saying I was on a weight restricted road. It's not. It's a truck route.

E-Mail me the following files off your TND. rmleadbetatester@gmail.com

    Navi/User/User.ini
    RM/User/Avoidedsegment.db

You can attached the above to an E-mail. Not big files.

I am not seeing your issue. I get a straight run. So I need your files to see if I can duplicate.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Anyone wondering where on the RM to see trip summary's.

Once you have all your VIA points/Locations in, go to the map screen, right hand side about middle (three lines), tap on that. On the slide out, at the bottom click on Route Display Options, then tap on Trip Summary. It will give you the time/mileage to each stop and across the top is total time/distance.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Ok. You're talking about the T/A in Troutdale (on the east side of town) out to Hillsboro (on the west side of town.) I know this route very well.

You didn't say what exactly the route problem was that it gave you, but this one is a perfect example of the "Freeway" setting in action on this brand nonetheless. It will give you an ENTIRELY different experience in this particular case depending on your "Freeways" setting.

With it set to "Prefer Freeways" it would use a much better way in this case, then if you had it on the default setting of "Allow All." It will, however, be 3 miles LONGER.

So with the "Allow All" setting, it takes Interstates and then State Highways to the destination - all on legal truck roads. BUT, Highway 8 (The TV Highway) on the west side of town is also full of traffic and lights. A slow-go, even in a car once you get to 8.

With it set to "Prefer Freeways" it will be 3 miles longer, but in most cases here, you would rather stay on the BIGGER Hwy 26 for a longer amount of time before cutting off into Hillsboro because of the slow-go on the TV Highway.

So, was it the same as the other driver had said about "lots of lights" and a slow go once you go to the west side of town? Or was it something else? What was your freeways setting on?

Here is a video of this case. This one was a great example of "Allow All = normally shorter truck route" but "Prefer Freeways" = bigger roads with fewer lights, even when longer. I do not know if this is what you are speaking of in your post. But I really liked when I ran this one how it illustrated the route algorithm, and hopefully it may help others understand "how it thinks based on what you tell it to do."

Set you truck to 30,000 lbs and make sure there is no other odd spec such as over width or length or height. And it will probably take you the way it should. There are a lot of "weight restricted" bridges in many of the mapping databases that are erroneous. Also, make sure traffic avoidance is turned off.
