New to the forum and needing some help. I have a t600 with a 4CK 3406B that misses slightly at idle and worse under load. gets worse as the day progresses. installed new injectors, lift pump and hand pump. no check engine light either. read somewhere that it could be converted to manual. What does that consist of? any help will be appreciated

I'm gonna assume you meant transfer pump when you said lift pump? Also the injector you changed was in the head? If so that was just the nozzles the actual injector is in the fuel pump.. They are also called barrel and plungers, by chance did you change them?

Its a good chance they are needing changed. What you can do is while the truck is idling and missing take a wrench and crack each line loose one at a time to see which one it is. The one that makes no or least difference is most likely the culprit.

It could also be something else but this will help narrow it down.

Yeah but can't remember the price. But if you are gonna convert it to a full manual pump you might want to look into getting a used one that way you can rebuild it on the bench. You'll have to check to see if that has single or dual scroll plungers though.

You have checked your fuel pressure and changed filters right? Another thing to look at is fuel lines. sometimes they go bad and can cause issues.

yeah, changed filters about 7 times in the last month, first three or four had a lot of black sediment in them when cut open

There is a plug on the final filter base with hand primer on it check fuel pressure there should be no less than 26 psi under load. Also tee in before lift pump with a neg pressure gauge. This gauge will measure draw and usally positive pressure to. If you get a 0 reading most likely you are sucking air, if reading is -6 to -10 your good more than negative 10 youn have a restriction limiting flow. Its possible to have such a restriction and still show pressure in specs. Findind the black particles is a sign of lines breaking down internally
