With respect I'd like to point out that every OTR trainer company has openings. There are a plethora of better training firms that would have taken him, trained him to get a CDL, and put him in a truck as a company driver. Schneider, Swift, Central, Millis, US Xpress, Roehl, all would have been better choices than CRE. You and him clearly didn't research before he committed to training and are paying the price now.

In your opinion. Look, she said they did ALOT of research yet her hubby still wound up with the lowest of the low and is now experiencing what the majority of CRE drivers experience. Why? Because they were willing to take him right away. Sorry, but I have no sympathy for this situation. If I was researching companies and I learned that I could go to work right away but I wouldn't be making a paycheck I'd wait.

I remember when I applied online with CRE. It was late on a Wednesday night and the recruiter called me the next morning saying I was hired and they had a spot open for me at orientation that Monday in Mira Loma California.

Everything we found before he left wasn't any worse than any of the others. Never read a single story about never getting paid until I found this site, which was 3 days ago. Trust me, if I would have even one that said there was a good chance he'd be screwed over like this I would have made him wait. It's been a learning experience that's for sure.

losttrucker has my vote. Stepping up to the plate. Here's an option.

The lack of sympathy from many is as palpable as it is deplorable. Sorry.

I messaged him to find out how to get something going & as soon as my hubby wakes up I'm definitely telling him before he makes any choice about USX. I appreciate your support.

We all learn from previous companies but the sad thing is something else bad happens with another company and another.Your husband has exp so he should start looking.Or if he doesn't have a laptop then you start looking for him and get applications or phone numbers. Then they can fax him an app.I don't know about getting hired while under contract but its worth finding out.

Don't worry about him breaking the lease agreement I know a lot of former students who did it and ended up just fine. Make sure your Husband does not get hit with a truck/load abandonment when he does quit. So make sure he turns that truck into the SLC or Burns Harbor facility and he can't do that while he is dispatched on a load. Also tell him to notify his next employer that England will probably try to ding his DAC when he does leave. A lot of other companies are aware of CRE shenanigans.

The plan was the load he has now is going to IN so once he dropped it go to BH and then get USX to shuttle him to Chicago for orientation, but if losttrucker can get something going local then I'd have to figure out how to get him home from IN. That's the only downfall.

I quit CRE during my home time. I made sure I wasn't dispatched on anything and since I owned the truck things were a little easier for me. They still made me make an appointment to turn in all my CRE stuff like plates, Qualcomm, permits and fuel cards.
