Hello everybody,
i just bought and brought my flatbed trailer to my home state CA. Bought it from Arkansas.
I only have pink slip from them.
Where should I register it and transfer it to my name and get plates?
someone once told me to register it in Maine,
HOW EXACTLY DOES THAT WORK AND WHAT'S the BENEFIT?
What would the difference be if I just register it in DMV IN CA?
THANKS VERY MUCH
Just bought my trailer help

MBI trailer in Maine is who I used. Very laid back and easy to work with. Give them a call tomorrow and they can explain what they need. google Maine trailer plates and other business' will pop up that do it to. It save me 6.5% sales tax on 4 trailers.

I don't know how many states do it like Iowa does, but if you put a county tag on it (regular IA tag) you can fill out a form that says 25% of your miles or more will be put on outside the state, then you don't pay sales tax on it that way.

Yes the state sales taxes in CA are HIGH.

Everything is HIGH in CA I'm fixing to get outta here

You took a out of state del on your trailer, that gets you around the ca tax. Thats what you do in ca to avoid the ca tax. I did it and everybody I know does that. Just get a ca perm plate its not that expensive and you don't have to pay yearly.

Oklahoma trailer tags never need renewal and never expire. Plate it once, and forget it.
