    know the base price of fuel. I have increased my profit margin to 38% in some weeks by knowing the base price of fuel and buying the fuel at the cheapest areas along the route.

    Someone better tell the truck manufactures.
    The latest versions of automated gearboxes actually do this to save fuel.
    Of course they can pop it back in when needed which is why it is frowned upon with manuals because if you cant on a down grade your MPG wont be your biggest concern.

    what we did for fuel economy is bought a single axle tractor 14k steer 23k rear 20k lift axle 15L cummins (500 horse) 3.02 rears 13 speed manual trans in a 2014 volvo company driver averaging 8mpg
