    Good post!

    Trucks do take a beating out here. I've seen all sorts of models out here and I currenty drive a T800 with 3 axles 18 speed and it takes a beating. Has 35,000 miles on it and falling apart. I do love my job and what i do. Wouldn't do anything else even in the piss cold weather. Thanks for all the post guys and post to come!

    Stay put and make the money while its hot. Just like the other plays, it'll cool off at some point. Then take some savings and do what you want.

    Your answer lies within your answer.

    Buy a service truck with a sleeper, hire a good wrench that has experience with class 8 service & repair. Just basic repairs & B service are booking weeks out due to demand. Guys are towing their broken trucks 500+ miles just to get fixed sooner and get back to work.

    I agree with one of the previous posters. Satisfaction boils down to doing what your interested in, even if it means making less. I am an owner op at Landstar. I enjoy the challenge of finding freight, connecting loads, setting my rates, etc. If this is the kind of thing you would find fun and interesting, I would encourage you to pursue it.
