There is also a small sign that says to follow in truck signals... ie: PrePass... ALWAYS follow the PrePass, if no signal/light/beep, err on the side of caution... That's why it continues to blink for a while, so if a DOT officer stops you right after the scale, he can see which light/beep it showed... No way to say "I was green lighted" when you weren't.

I have a new style with the square led on the left side. It blinks for over 10 minutes.

PS... FYI... It can still read the PrePass from the bunk area...

Good luck to you. So, I'm guessing you'll be on the anniversary plan? All tuition covered as long as you stay 1 year?dfaf Thanks this.

Same here, and if the sun is shining directly on it, you can't see it!
Rolling past a scale and I THOUGHT I heard it beep, but you know how quiet it is. Look up and the sun is completely washing out the LED. So I try to reach up and shade the prepass, but my seatbelt pulls me back into the seat.
Well, now I'm where I really need to decide to go in or go past, so I THREW myself at the prepass to try to shade it from the sun, and the seatbelt pulls me back even harder, I bounce back and try again to reach the prepass. Seatbelt yanks me back and now I'm going down the road, bouncing back and forth trying to block the sun off the prepass.
I'm sure people who saw me thought I was having some sort of an attack!

Well, my trainer and I had a load coming through my hometown over the weekend. While visiting my wife, I found out she was having some fairly serious health issues, so I told my trainer I needed to stay behind to help her out for a few days. She ended up needing an emergency surgery, so I'm thankful that I was here to help with my kids.
I contacted training, driver services, and the DM I was given when I left WVC, and haven't heard back as to whether I am able to get back out with a trainer or not, so my time at Central may or may not be up already. Not that I'm terribly heartbroken, since I was basically told to "suck it up," when I brought my trainer issues to the attention of those necessary-and not even directly, but via my trainer! It's unfortunate, but on the bright side, the $3k I will pay for my CDL from central is a lot cheaper than the local schools that charge you $4500+, plus I made some good friends in my class. -
My thoughts go with you and your wife... Stay after training... Email, call, pester... You want that one year of experience before you change companies... Looks better on your resume'... AND you probably won't get the same trainer, which would be a bonus

Late loading it this week! Oh what fun I'll have... Glad I bought some movie packs yesterday. Got my 0830 appt at 0900 while I was still loaded. And I'm suppose to run 800 more miles by 0900 tomorrow. Lol. Welcome back to the life of a trucker.

Sounds like you're in alsip! 1/2 the loads I get there are inbound in the afternoon and outbound 8-10 hours prior.Arkansas Frost Thanks this.

Never have I seen so many trucks on US287 from Fort Collins to Laramie!! We've been using it all summer to miss the winds from Cheyenne to Laramie... But now with winter, it looks like it will be a viable option to miss that part of 80... It's two lane, and not sure how well they clear it in winter, but right now it's open to where 80 (WB) isn't.
