Don't text and drive! What do you have to worry about if you don't do it right? Morning rush hour makes me angry seeing how many around me are texting. Mostly 4wheelers. Very very rare to see someone in a truck doin' it. A friend of mine (who I've been screaming at for it). Had 2the accidents w in a week. The first one I believed them that it truly was a freak accident hitting a deer. The second one... the deer was already dead laying on the double yellow. They hit it and it as best as all of us can tell was while they were texting ..... facepalm... excuse was i didn't see it. Yeah... dead deer jumped out in front of yah. Rest of us drove around it... how come you hit it?

So true.....what if the fmcsa.... OK hold on.....tight...... did a study to see how many 4 wheelers actually caused the accident instead of automatic blame on the truck? Yes I'm a 4 wheeler when off, have a wife and a son soon to be one (God help me) but they hopefully here my stories and have an advantage.

I rode along with someone yesterday we passed a lot of trucks, I was surprised how many truck drivers were texting. Holding the phone down by your right leg really isn't hiding your head bobbing up and down. I never understood why a truck driver would text when another big truck is passing. It was all types of drivers, driving all types of trucks...no common theme other than stupidity.

    DISTRACTED DRIVING! :biggrin_2559:

You know the camera man doesn't have his seatbelt on either.

I've seen that truck up by Morristown, TN before. CHP has one too about the same paint scheme I've seen near the Grapevine.

Tennessee has been doing this for a while now. Am I the only one that reads the newsletters from this forum? Lol. They sent it around quite a while back.

utah has been doing it for years.

it first started out as watching for cars cutting off truckers. and citeing those cars that did.

to this very day. people still do it though.

Why on earth would you want to warn texters ?
Seriously , would you tell a drunk driver to avoid a certain road because the cops are sitting there ?
