Trucking companies

Since hometime isn't a top priority, look at the benefits package of each of your choices and the areas those companies run. Consider running 48 states to aquire experience in all weather/all terrain which many companies look for when hiring. Some new drivers forget to consider running areas when they choose a company and get stuck with a company that limits them to East Coast or no further than East of the Mississippi River, etc.

 

From what I have read and researched those three you are focusing on are very good. You will always hear the bad with the good but that is any company. If you just listened to all the bad you'd never go with ANY company haha!

I've talked to a few Schneider drivers that were very happy as well, if you need a good 4th option. Their operations are very diverse now so if you get tired hauling one type of freight you an always move to another division.

 

Also, don't limit yourself to Big companies. Many small companies are better for younger drivers to start out. There may be a local hauler that goes to all 48, that will hire you. You may find some here at these web sites.

Trucking Companies In The USA

 

Not sure about other areas of country but I haven't heard anything good about their operations in FL. Mind you it was 3 years ago when I was looking. I was only looking at local driving with them so I don't know much about their OTR division. Search the forums and see what others have said.

 

There is always a lot of good and bad about every company just take everything with a grain of salt and consider the situation they are complaining about from both sides! Wishing you luck
