mary....the qc nav is not the fuel route. thats given when you get dispatched. its tells you where you're getting fuel and what highways to take. the qc sometimes doesn't follow that. most of the times i compare the 2 to make sure the qc follows along. have your mentor show you.
A couple questions for the Swifties...

your not supposed to rely on the gps, its there to help but not guide you. When your dispatched your sent with a set of directions for example I-5 to I210 stop 1, I210 to 71 stop 2
just example, plus you can do macros to get detailed directions for your destination, check the directions with the QC and if they match up then follow the gps if you want, you must follow the fuel routes. Sometimes I will skip some of my fuel routes based on the fuel I have and what im currently doing. Today for example I had a full tank and only driven maybe 80 miles, got dispatched on my load and they gave me a fuel stop to fill up about 70 miles away which seemed a bit stupid. Got dispatched again and they want me to fill up 180 miles from where I was and I have 7/8 of a tank still. Yet when im down to 2/8 they might give me a fuel stop 600 miles away, like wtf? I also dont completely fuel up either if I know im heading to get a heavy load and will skip a fuel stop given before the shipper then when I get scaled out and figure out how much I can add to be legal I just call in to get fuel opened up. -
no no not that one, was a UPS drop yard
I have been to the swift yard off chapin a few times and know the route. Was just there a few hours ago tcalling my load.
