Everything I own can fit in one duffle bag, one backpack and a dirty laundry tote. I learned a long time ago to pack light, never know what may happen

Well right now I don't have a truck yet working on it I'm just trying to get an estimate of how much everything weighs together
-
My thing is, at any time I can have an accident and get terminated any time, do I want to bother with boxes and shipping things home. NOPE. I'll just pack light
-
Wouldn't worry about. Fuel weight will be your biggest concern at times...not personal stuff.
-
Thanks all of y'all
-
If its a heavy load I scale empty, then they can cut what's needed to make me legal.
-
How much money do y'all think you could make Otr with a day cab?
-
Not enough to justify doing it.
-
Oh I was thinking less weight more freight but idk how much less a day cab weighs
-
I carry one overnight bag and an extra pair of boots, in addition to my sleeping bag, pillow and winter coat. That's the extent of my personal stuff, maybe weighs 50 lbs.
Now as for tools, that can vary by local, regional, OTR, Van, flatbed, reefer, intermodal. My partial list of tools: two pry bars, binder bar, cheater bar, HD wire cutters (actually used for cutting garage door cables), skeletonized bolt cutters with replaceable jaws (weigh about 14 lbs), tire inflation hose, scraper, 3lb sledge, regular hammer, quart of oil, quart of brake line anti-freeze, 2 gal. of washer fluid, and a well stocked small tool box. Someplace in there is also a electrical repair kit I think. Maybe 30 to 40 lbs.
