No, just to Laredo with loads coming from or going to.

Trust me, Werner is no better or worse than most starter companies. Like I say, I've been with them for two years and I'm happy. I bet those that bad mouth any company the most have never worked for them. Here say doesn't count. Trucking companies are not charity organizations and are in the business to make money. My advise though is to go to work for a privately owned company and not one that is publicly traded. However, if you do your road training with Werner and spend two years with them safely, you will not have a problem going to work for any company out there. Some companies will only hire a driver with at least two years experience because of the insurance rates they get. Like I did, pay your dues then find your best fit.

You are right, I'm agree.

I have never driven for Werner but heard enough stories of new drivers averaging $300 a week gross to know this is a bottom feeder operation. Even for a new driver that is ridiculously low pay. There are much better starter companies out there.
-
I have been with Werner for over 13 years. I am also a trainer. We all have bad weeks, wether we have been driving 2 weeks or years a lot of new drivers do not understand that there will be bad weeks. Any of us that say this not true is not being truthfull.. You talk to any driver from any company and they are being truthfull they will admit to low pay weeks. may not be often but they do happen....
BossOutlaw88 Thanks this. -
All drivers will have bad weeks, but bad weeks shouldn't be less than $700. To only make a $300 check is unacceptable. Actually I wouldn't drive OTR anywhere where my weekly average is below $1000/week.
BossOutlaw88 and Southrngrl228 Thank this. -
so your saying your are grossing approx $1300/week or 67000 year? thats a good one here is what the us govermnet says $37,770 per year
$18.16 per hour here is the web site http://www.bls.gov/ooh/transportati...g/heavy-and-tractor-trailer-truck-drivers.htm
thats $726/week gross. but if you have a job paying you that good for you!! yes there are places that pay better than others but they are currently few and far between.. fed ex or ups.
here is an other artical http://everydaylife.globalpost.com/average-salary-us-truck-driver-16851.htmlpattyj Thanks this. -
Sad new toadmaster I can make more as a part time bus driver than I ever did driving for wiener my first year with wiener I only made $13,000.00 when I went to quit they reported I had a few nonDOT recordable accidents ok prove they happened. DAC took it a gospel truth had to sue to have it removed
-
If I became filthy rich overnight, one of the things I would do is buy DAC just so I could shut it down and sit on the rights.
