Short answer, yes.

I have had incredibly good service with NAPA batteries.
Mine are over three years old and going strong. Local NAPA store guy says it is not uncommon for them to last 5 years or so. They are priced at $119 each and if not immediately in stock at your local store can usually be ordered and delivered the same business day or the next day at the very latest. -
If I remember correctly, Interstate builds NAPA's batteries for them.
I wouldn't spend the money on Optimas, over hyped and over priced. -
I was seriously considering Optima's a month ago, I was drawing my batteries down a lot. Changed my mind when I stumbled across Interstate blem's @ $50/piece @ Vander Haag's. They're working just fine and everyone I've talked to who runs them claims 3-4 year lifespan. Heck, for $50/pc I'll replace them every year or two and still be money ahead. Running my inverter heavily and still cranks like crazy every morning as well.
I will say this, the Optima's are prettier, lol. -
I didn't know they had Interstate blems there, which store?

Sioux Falls is where I got mineOscar the KW Thanks this.

2 years ago I got 4 Opitma yellowtops for $180ish per at Auto Zone, nobody would price match them.
I bought this truck in '05 and even with Cat batteries haven't gotten more than 2 winters from a set of 4, when the first one goes bad I replace them all.
So far after running a fridge and Coleman cooler for 36 hours or so I've had a couple slow starts but never had to jumpstart. -
how often do you guys replace your batteries? my truck cranks slow in the mornings and i think i might need to replace the batteries.
-
Maybe you just need to get some sandpaper, steel wool and clean connections? I had your same problem and all it was - was corroded connections needing cleaned. Pull your batteries out and take them to the nearest AutoZone, Napa, etc and let them load test your batteries. It's a free service. If one is bad replace them all. Never mismatch old and new batteries, they won't last.
chalupa Thanks this.
