I had that happen before

the Webasto Heater is not suppose to be connected to your truck power cut off switch. It runs for 10 hrs no matter what...as is my understanding/experience.
Don't use many lights and electronics in your truck when it's cold. ( below 40 degrees or so)
I get only a couple of hours on my laptop in cold temps ( though it is a power sucking gaming laptop). That's compared to 6-7 hrs when it's above 60 degrees or so.
I've never had my bunk heater cause my truck to not start though. -
Put a brick on the pedal....lol

Or a nice plump lot lizard to spoon with...lmao
GITRDUN45 Thanks this. -
Is it illegal to pay for body heat?
But it will cost $20 every 10 minutes....
Mikeeeekoncrete cowboy and GITRDUN45 Thank this. -
yeah, I think that was my misunderstanding. Parked on a on-ramp the other day with running lites on all night, so I'm not sure if it killed the heater/battery or not, but it was colder than a witches teet in a brass bra when I woke up.

Truck set to no idle shutdown? Some trucks you can fool into thinking you are driving by releasing the tractor breaks and setting your trailer breaks. I chock my wheels for good measure just for peace of mind. After all the red knob does say "not for parking"

Lights on all night and engine not running? Oops!
Of course you can fool the truck in some ways, yours or the guy that manipulated his temp sensor. But your idle time is going to show up sooner or later.
Our trucks also do not idle, but they have bunk heaters. If I have to stay out I am comfy. When I am home nightly I set the timer for just a bit before my next day start time and I climb into a toasty truck with a frost free windshield!
