You have had bette luck with the generals than me. They had a very strange wear pattern on them. Happened on different trailers and different positions so I am not sure what the exact cause was. I have gone over to the S360 which was the older version of the 371 but the tire guy said he has seen much better results with.

The S360 is a nice looking tire. Generals can take a rigorous beating. I go over 6 sets of RR tracks twice a wk. Only problems I had is when they were down to 5/32nds & I regrooved them, they chipped/tore quite easy where as the Bridges wore great.

Michelin XTA, check tire pressure religiously, and use the dump valve as often as reasonably possible.

The Michelins are twice as much as the Toyos, can you tell me why you recommend them? The trailer is a Nascar type transporter, so weight is not an issue. I'm not looking to get a lot of miles out of the tires either, mostly looking for durability.

We don't run spreads, but we've had great luck running Michelin and have friends that run the Michelin XZE in all positions, including spreads, and have had good luck with them. I know guys that are running Continental HSR in all positions including spreads and say they've had excellent luck with them, but they are also pricey. One buddy runs Sumitomo on all positions and says he's had great luck with them and wouldn't run anything else. I don't remember exactly what model he runs but I know they're a cheaper tire. I will also say that none are running the 255 and I don't know if that would make a difference.
