I live in Iowa and was wondering if anyone knows what kind of hazmat or tanker endorsement jobs I'll be able to get with my class b license. I'm not planning on getting a class a because when I take my driving test I'm only going to test with the tractor, not with the trailer. I've decided to study so that I can pass my hazmat & tanker tests so that I won't be limited on my job choices. Thanks.

Propane, which I did for 7 years, fuel, fuel oil, hazmat clean-up tanker, maybe a welding supply company.

What do you mean you will test with a tractor?

Better check with your dmv to see if that is possible, a lot of third party testers here won't let you drive a tractor for a class B. It has to be a truck "like" the one you are going to drive at a job.

I don't mean a farm tractor, I mean the front part of a semi rig, the truck that hauls the trailer.

I'm pretty sure he knows it's not a farm tractor. What he's saying is you may need an actual class B truck such as a dump truck or something similar.
