Buddy of mine just went through trainer class. He asked about the Pete. They said it was a demo truck but too expensive to buy! I'm getting ready to make the jump to otr from family dollar! I've been following the post for a while. Keep the info going. I will be adding more posts as I go! But I know not to go west right now! Lol

 

while we are talking trucks, are all the Epes trucks as "basic" as the Tse trucks. i don't mind the steel wheels. but it's a tragedy the number of plastic trees that were cut down to make the interior of my truck.

 

Look inside that Pete , far more plastic trees died in it. The local dealer brings on out about every two years . I climbed inside it , tried to get back in the sleeper and only hit my head 5 times.

 

sure is purty though lol or it would be if it wasn't so #### red lol

I really hate someone else driving my truck. thankfully I took all my sheets and pillows and tv and anything that mattered out of it before I went on vacation. what a slob. I keep my truck clean and I was glad I came out early today because I figured they'd put someone else in it and i'd have to clean it.......looking through the qc he only had it 3 days but looked like he'd been living in it for a couple of weeks. not like I don't have plenty of cleaning supplies in here either.......floor looked like a dirt lot....carpets were dirty......dash was dirty....windows filthy.....mirrors crudded over.....and of course my seat and mirrors were all reset so that it'll take me 2 or 3 days to get them set back like I want them and i'm comfortable again.....not to mention all the presets on my radio changed too. wtf? he was only in it 3 days. have some ####### courtesy and respect someone else's space.

have to thank him too for rearranging my snack cabinet and taking out my dividers and sampling most of what I had in there before I got back in the truck.

only one way I guess to keep someone else from driving my truck. since it doesn't look like i'm ever going to get a student while everyone else has had a few since I got the upgrade guess I may have to get put on the other list.....and dare someone else to get in my truck then lol

 

It's going to get used. Was offered to use one of the golden child's trucks year or so back , told them no not his. Any thing wrong was going to blamed on me . Stuff he been waiting for months to get a scapegoat for? He came back from vaca last month and wanted to blame body damage on who used his truck. No one drove his truck that week. Same person has used my truck last two times I toke time off , he has a issue with collecting keys! Had 3 spare truck keys in the cubby next to the cup holders , gone?

 

yeah I know I can't keep them from using it. don't mean I have to like it though. only way i'll ever keep anyone out of my truck is to run my own truck....which may not be a bad option for me and probably the logical next step. finally got it cleaned up and my mirrors fixed back right but still can't get the seat back like I like it. at least keys are on the list of things I took when I cleaned it out before I went on vacation lol he didn't get my keys.

not a productive day. got empty in pitman finally at 0900.......5 of us there and 3 d/h. don't know what you have to do to get one of those d/h there I've never had one but always a couple of guys have them every time i'm there while I hurry up and wait for the live. then a shorty up to limerick and down to colonial heights. got really lucky and snuck through dc just before rush hour. 30 minutes south and the local radio calling the traffic reports sounded nasty. glad I got through there ahead of it. then got preplanned out of colonial heights to Lebanon for tomorrow 1900. so I rolled over to chester and getting ready to hit the bed and get an early stat in the morning and head that way....still a strong start to the week though that'll give me 1300 miles by 1900 tomorrow and i'll have full time to run by the time they unload me tomorrow night.

Just as cold in Lebanon. Supposed to be 21 tonight. Ran through the first flakes of the season. Pretty good flurries from Bristol to west of Knoxville. Ugh I hate snow. And cold. Can't believe it's here again already.

 

It was a nice and toasty 81 in Tampa yesterday! Now I'm back to freezing here in Riceboro Ga!

 

Looking for information on Epes. Live in the Dallas area and am currently on my third year OTR at Maverick. Any info would be appreciated.
