Why not? We used to run them on drives and then move them back to the trailer, possibly after they were retreaded. Of course, everything is different now. Personally, I would want more traction if running in snow country.

A lot of people do this for the summer and say it improves mpg's a bit. The truck would be useless in snow though!! Most of the folks that do this only run them in the summer.

Not much different than these high mpg low rolling resistance drive tires, they have no lugs or tread spacing

Yes it is fine to do it. If you are only doing regional driving and dont need extra traction. Just be careful when bobtailing.

If they aren't all position tires, and are actually trailer tires, I wouldn't. Drive tires are built stronger than trailer tires for the torque required to get the truck moving. All position can be used just the name implies.

I never ran recaps after hauling doubles across AZ-CA in the summer with them. Lost at least one every trip. Don't see why not run trlrs on drivers. I've always ran Michelins and switch the drivers to the trailer and buy new drivers. Never hada problem or a blowout since the early 80s. Did have a couple of flats.
