from what i see and know , maybe swift needs to be checked out. the drivers or what they call drivers i wonder sometimes how in the world they slip by.

Probably, there is an independent company that is doing the training for Swift. I have a local truck training school down the street a few miles from where I live, and they have a 28 foot trailer out front with a Swift logo on it proclaiming that they train for Swift. Basically, the way these deals work is that Swift associates with the independent school, and the school gets good deals on relatively decent used equipment like trucks and trailers, and the Swift recuiters get first pick at the students.
It works out for both groups, and there is really nothing wrong or illegal about it.
In the case in Memphis, odds are real strong that the CDL school is the one that is in the wrong and functioning like a CDL mill, but it has a strong Swift connection because they are about halfway involved with the school Swift is strong in that area anyhow, because that is the former home base for all the MS Carriers drivers that Swift bought out years back. -
FBI mum on raids in Memphis; Swift says it is not the target

I'm not surprised at this. I am finding that where I live there are many Russians that have licenses and they can't speak a lick of english let alone understand and read the road signs. I found that many are going to Oregon and Pennsylvania, and in 3 days getting a license. I am not quite sure of the details, but it's is scary none the less.

Like already mentioned...Swift is not the target of this investigation...the schools and CDL issuing agency of those schools are under investigation. Rumored is they are taking shortcuts and not giving CDL's to qualified people.
The memphis terminal itself is not under investigation. -
I would be loathe to believe any commentary coming from a Swift executive, The last thing he is going to do is confirm that Swift may be under investigation. Any executive will say the same thing as advised by their legal council, until the feds actually specifically name them.

Has there been any updates on this story? I know the line coming from swift hasn't changed but I'm hearing that people who are running across swift O/O's have been hearing the swift trucks are being recalled to there terminals over the next 48 hours.
can you imagine how much frieght would be shook loose if swift gets sut down? that would be sweet. -

Well that is what people are hearing from YOUR drivers. I didn't say it was, I was asking
