that's great you know there is no place like home. I have a small farm in Virginia but all the work is gone and most of small business as well spent all my life there and will some day go back but this time i'll take my money with me cause there is sure not any to be made there. I thought I could survive doing mechanic work but the people don't make enough money to pay for fixing there cars. my wife of 36 years is taking care of her elderly mom so she will be along later, she lost the job she had been on for 30 years so she's ready to go. sorry got a little off course there but hope everything goes well for you in vegas.

How did you figure out the rental issue? I'm planning on going out there as well and don't have a major credit card either.

Hey 10speed55, Seen on another thread that you took a motorhome down there. What are you doing about a DMV residence address? I'm doing the same, Hauling my RV and staying in a RV park in Midland/Odessa

I got to enterprise car rental and they told me we do not accept debit cards so I got on the phone and the only car rental in the area that does acept them is budget rental at the airport. You get unlimited miles which in my case is good. sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. hope this helps

What the lady told me was they would put a hold on $ 200 and when I turned the car in they would release it. so yes that is considered a deposit. this is like DC the prices here are reasonable on everything but rent and real estate.
