No what you explained is just brokering. Double brokering is where a broker gets a load.. Sells it to another broker then has you haul it. Every broker, or trucking company that brokers loads has to have a brokers license, and now a 75,000 bond. And you need to get hold of this broker for? Payment? If they are giving you trouble collecting. Contact the shipper and bill them.. You will get a phone call from this broker.. Go to FMSCA csa company snap shot. Put in there DOT or MC number or try the name. That will tell you everything about the authority . Bonding etc. if none drop a dime on them to the DOT.

you tell them that trucking company ABC brokered a load from you the shipper and they have failed to compensate me..and you want to collect on the haul that was finished by me.
-
Double brokering is a thing of the past. The new laws that just went into effect now it is illegal. If the second company can't handle the load.. The have to refuse it. You can ask for the copy of the bill from the trucking company that bills the. Shipper.

I'm sure you can show this mythical law to everyone.
Flightline Thanks this. -
Do I have to hold your hand and show you? It's part of the new law for brokerage... Including the increase in the bond.

There is no such law. Maybe some reading is required instead of truckstop counter talk.http://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/about/what-we-do/MAP-21/Map21.aspx
Only part pertaining to brokers/freight fowarders http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/FR-2013-09-05/pdf/2013-21539.pdf
May be tough but it is what it is.Last edited: Nov 10, 2013

You are wasting your time on this guy. He's just mad at everyone and everything. His wife probably ran off with a broker.
