Ya we got that 680 right when they came out. From what I hear we got a wheel of a deal on it to kinda smooth over all of the problems with our 660's. Then we ended up having all kinds of electrical problems with it from what the guys in the shop were saying.

Just wondering, with all the problems VW had/has with the 660's make you wonder about other fleets? Regardind the 680, their sure is a bunch of them out there. Nice looking truck, too bad with the turning down and the EPA, I bet they run when they can breath!

Ya not really sure what the deal is. I know JFI was all 660's there for a while and now they seem to be stepping up to the 680's. Zeitner out of Omaha is going the same route. I haven't looked real close at the CARB sticker on the door to see if they are Cummins or PACCAR motors, maybe if they are Cummins they fixed the plumbing issues for the exhaust.

My buddy that runs for Schulz out of Lincoln, NE said that they're having the same headaches with their Cummins powered 660's as well so at least we're not alone.

I really like the new 587 Pete. I got my Volvo new last December and mechanically it has been solid but it is already falling apart inside, and believe me I'm very easy on a truck and take care of them inside and out.

Yup can't beat the durability of Paccar trucks. Can't say much about Volvo but it seems to me that they came in through the back door to fill the void created by the Cummins issue?

    mushroom1464 Thanks this.

Wow this thread is dead! Anybody know who drives 838? Or maybe it was 837? I suspect I've stumbled into their hometime parking spot, a stone's throw from our "terminal"

Looks like the storm is mostly a rain event along the coast, snow inland, but then it always snow's inland this time of year LOL. Well I'm heading out west next week to turn in 738, she has 475K + and it's that time. Tim said that I'll be staying in a KW,my request, so you guys who have them enjoy the Volvo's. Happy Thanksgiving wherever you may be.
