Sometimes there was a company that needs a driver even you have that kind of situation. Just be calm and keep trucking. :)

Yep, I done everything right and quit the correct way. A year later I found out they trashed my DAC with false lies. I disputed it and won.

When you dispute your DAC the company has to respond back in writing. Many times a company is too lazy to deal with or bothered by disputes. File a dispute and say the trainer was driving. It never hurts.

Not everyone uses DAC either. It's something like a little more than 2500 trucking companies and there are thousands out there. Basically it's more of the bigger companies.

like people said keep trying, I know some drivers who have had 2 accidents and still work for Swift.

I dont understand why they didnt give you another chance since you were in training phase and the trainer should of been there to help you out and avoid these kinds of things.

My guess is that there was an incredible amount of damage for a simple backing accident.

As they say, "The devil's in the details". An accurate account of the damage would go a long way in everyone giving the right information instead of wasteing their time responding to a person that may, or may not have a chance, according to the circumstances and amount of damage. It could have been as small as a spot mirror, or a whole front end, tire, wheel, and axle. Big difference.

yeah very true, for something small a lot of companies might still give a chance, for someone like a total front end being destroyed....well there might only be a couple companies that would look past it.

I always see people in such a hurry to get backed in, if its a tight spot I will take my time and piss off the truck waiting to get past me, rather spend an extra minute than lose my job.

You're right. Finding the patience and ability to control your nerves while knowing you are holding someone up, and others are watching you, yet still take your time and keeping cool is very hard to do. I have gotten caught up in trying to get out of the way myself when it would have been much safer to worry about what I'm doing instead of what someone thinks.
