I disagree Saint Bully. There are very few jobs that a woman can't do. I do agree that there are some very feminine and fragile women that can't pull hoses, but they wouldn't be out in the oil fields anyway. Pulling hoses isn't hard. I've hauled sand, water, and crude and it isn't hard work at all, but then again, my previous jobs were setting chokers in Oregon, and then running the 90 pound jack hammer and laying pipe. As far as I know, the only jobs that I'm pretty sure no woman can do is bucking hay, running the jack hammer, and setting chokers, but there are even a few women that could do those jobs. I've seen women try to buck hay....they can do it but their production is low, and it doesn't seem worth it to pay her the same hourly wage when she can only buck half of what a strong man can. But there are a few tough women out there who can buck hay.
