I saw a slick rig at a lumberyard in Texas for tarping. Mine was the first load they used on. They'd "stolen" the idea somewhere. Basically, it was a piece of 3" pipe with two hooks , one for each side of the tarp. You clipped the front of the tarp on each side, lifted the pipe (attached to the forks of the forklift with a tricky weld like a pallet, then the forklift driver drove forward alongside the truck and I told him when to stop. Two cords attached to a quick release hung down on each side and voila, the tarp was on! IMHO "fall arrest" harnesses make the job of tarping more difficult and less safe.
