A good student can be successful with a bad trainer. A good trainer cannot be successful with a bad student. The problem that most people have is that they've forgotten how to listen. Do exercises to strengthen your memory.

Names, phone numbers, roadsigns, routes, directions,...etc. It will give you the edge that youre looking for.

And if you don't know something or aren't sure, ask! The only stupid question is the one you don't ask. And if you aren't sure, why risk doing it wrong when you can ask and it be done right?

    good luck to you.

Thanks triplesix and driversgirl. I have no problem asking questions. I hate doing stuff wrong or twice, do it right the first time and have no issues. i wanna learn everything I can from a trainer and progress from their. I dont wanna be part of that turnover rate percentage. I wanna beat the odds to prove im a asset to the company and not just a steering wheel holder. Be safe and enjoy the ride

    dont LISTEN @ ALL

i feel like a dang parent or a parrot

countless times I'm telling my student
STOP LEAVING BOTTLES & #### on the FLOOR
uSE the #### small mirror n look at the trailer tires
GET the Hell OUT the truck & look at the back when backing

SERIOUSLY::::how do I get this student to remember n pay attention

Give a choice, be clean or find another trainer and explain why you were kicked off. Common courtesy and sense not that hard to do. Some ppl just need a good ole slap of reality.

Another thing you may want to discuss with trainer would be his preferences as far as truck stops (if he avoids them if at all possible or not) and food. I say this because my bf's first trainer would only stop at a ts for fuel, showers, and to eat. He would rather sit parked outside their receiver from 5pm til am than park in a ts. Both trainers prefer eating out than having food (other than snacks) in the truck.

Things like that that will help you prepare for your time spent together. My bf has 2 wks left with his trainer and they get along great.

    Good of luck to you.
