Wow. You kind of called your shot on that one! Im glad to hear it was on the lighter side of ticketable offenses... Especially for David in his opener with AMX.
Have you or any others who read this delivered Publix in Lakeland before? Just wondering if I am going to need a comcheck for a lumper?

While in Washington DC last week and my visit to Richmond to the Home of the Green Machine. I think everyone knows my love for the Volvo 780. Anyway I rented a Volvo car (my fisrt time driving a volvo car) Can't remember the model. even though the car was ok my suggestion to Volvo stick to those wonderful trucks they make and not the car buisness. Just my two cents.

Love my 780. The brown/tan interior is growing on me. My '11 had grey/silver interior...2012 is the same. I love the fact i can stretch out (I'm 6'4") in my seat or bunk. I think id cry if i had one of the Macks!!

Made it to Topeka at 6am yesterday morning. Dropped the trailer and got it back empty at noon. Our next load deadheaded us 535 miles to Pella in Murray Ky for a 2 stopper in and around Atlanta. David got us to Murray and hooked to our load at 10pm. I took over and drove the 356 miles straight to Forest Park for our 4am appt. left there at 6:30 and was at our last drop in Duluth Ga at 7:30. We had an empty there so all we did was drop and hook. Our new load came over the Qualcomm as we were leaving the final drop.
We are deadheading to Columbia SC for a drop and hook going to the Richmond yard for tonight. I'm now getting to be what I call a "mileage prostitute". I called into dispatch and let them know we both have hours to run and to get us something that delivers in California on Friday morning. That will get us back into Richmond for Monday, and me home on Wednesday.
I spent most of last Friday morning on the phone with safety. Based on what David and I experienced the last 2 weeks, it was agreed upon that its time David got his own truck. He will get his when we get back to Richmond next week right before the holiday. Safety wanted him to go to NYC with me, it never happen, in fact we are finally east of the Mississippi since we left wytheville two weeks ago. He got big city rush hour driving in Houston twice, Phoenix twice, San Diego and Los Angeles. I made sure he did the driving, he did, very well.Jrdude5, Lonesome and The Challenger Thank this. -

Just my two cents. Volvo has not owned the VOLVO CAR division since 1999 / 2000 when it was sold to FORD who then sold it to a Chinese company in 2010

Got to the yard at 10pm. Dropped my loaded trailer then went in to see Bo. I got a BH load that will be loaded tomorrow at 3pm at the Petersburgh plant. First drop is 6am Thursday in Nashville, then the next 4 in Southern California Saturday beginning at 3am and ending at 10am. The last drop on this load is for Monday morning, but we are dropping it at our colton yard around noon. I was already told I will have a load sitting in colton to come back to richmond with. Meanwhile Bo needed a favor so I told him sure. I hooked a loaded trailer in the yard and am delivering it at 5am at Walmart in gordonsville.

Boy, do a simple favor for dispatch and it turns into a total fluster cuck. I got here at at 4:45, got my comcheck for the unload fee, was done at 6:15 then was told they are missing paperwork for 240 cases of product. After calling dispatch, getting 2 more phone numbers to call making those calls, I got absolutely nowhere. I am now dealing with a csr rep at CH Robison. Is it me or does these csr reps all sound like used car salesmen telling you what you want to hear? All I want in life right now is to leave this place, get some breakfast and get back to the yard to do some laundry, that's all I'm wanting in life right now, not sitting here turning into a piece of moss. One bit of news I got early this morning is that I no longer have Kimberly for my dispatcher, I now have Tim, who takes care of trainers and trainees. My first conversation with him was quite different than with Kimberly, a lot more personable and a lot more helpful. But hell, we aren't doing this to make friends and influence people right? All we are are just truck drivers.
