I work for a local construction company running the trailer dump.we work within the 100 mile rule so no logs required. My company just got a job out of state but is still with in the 100 air miles. The question is do I need a log book now because I'm crossing state lines now?
    Thanks for any help...

No, state lines have nothing to do with the need for a log book. So long as you are under 100 air miles from your work reporting location and work less than 12 hours a day no log book is needed.

Meltom, CondoCruiser and Scalemaster Thank this.

Don't forget that you have to return to your home terminal the end of your shift and you can not exceed 60 hours in 7 days. I know construction sometimes works a lot of hours.
