I was terrified that I would find something similar but I am very lucky. It is so clean they just need to wash it, vaccuum it, and change the mattress before reassigning it pretty much. The only things left in the truck are TransAm issued things.... and some prescription hydrocortisone rectal suppositories in the freezer, LOL. I am counting my blessings right now cause Ive heard a lot of recovery horror stories.

Lol have you not read through this thread??
-
would some one be realistic and please tell me on average after your weekly expenses what your putting in your pocket with this lease deal with trans am? sure they say they average 138 thou a year but what are you gys really making? is it worth my time pursuing this any further or moving on
-
I think you will be ok, jaso, just be sure and follow through and try to get it dismissed or reduced to a non-moving violation. Any questions and you can always call Dave Cole ....he's very good at telling you how to handle things to your benefit.
Husband has the opposite problem, joey. He was early for his appointment yesterday and they took 5 hours to unload. He was a little frustrated but didn't think too much about it ....he was used to dealing with TransAm issues ....until his dispatcher called him and said anytime they are taking too long to unload or load you need to start calling me so I can light a fire under them!
Lucky! Did you get another good fortune cookie by chance?
Ewwwww....... -
My Husband was a company driver, Bstover18, so I can't help you too much. But back during the summer months all of us posted what our average weekly check was and Pete posted a copy of one of his settlement pages ....that should give you a pretty good idea of the expense side of things. I don't remember the page numbers on the thread but if I have time I will try to find them for you.

ok thank you.i will look around myself as well....i dont want to be out there for nothing

I have been averaging between $600 to $1100 per week after all bills paid. However this week is the most horrible week ever. 2 days left in the week and I have less than a 1000 miles this week!! WTH?? Im blaming it all on the weekend #######. They have done the ole bait and switch on me for the last time. They ask you to run a load with short miles, promise you the moon, and pre-plan you on a high mileage load next. Then when the short mile load is almost to the destination they pull the high mileage pre-plan away, and then there I set waiting for another short mileage load just to get back out in the main lanes. So basically screw em!! Put me on the do not call list, because Im not going bankrupt doing favors. But overall I love my job!!! DO NOT do favors for dispatch they will cause you lots of problems. Be very careful on swaps as well. If you have a wife and kids, and mortgage don't lease. You must be willing to live in the truck for a month and then come home for 2 days and then do it all over again in order to succeed at a lease. 90% of the time I am getting good miles and making good money. This is only my opinion, and is what works best for me..honeybadger. and HometimeQueen Thank this.

Even after an extra $300 a week on top of the regular expenses, I still put $500-$800 in my pocket. When I no longer make the extra $300 n payments per week, I would be taking home $800-$1100 per week provided I dont screw up my fueling.
HTQ, nope no super fortune cookie, though I did get my Happy Wok on Sunday.
Is it bad that I actually want to keep thos truck? Ive been looking at backing off my 680 and purchasing a 660 from somewhere and Im havng a blast with this truck which doesnt help, lol. This feels like a TRUCK and not an RV. I love the space and design of the 680, but I am digging the little powerhouse that the 660 is. Lol. Ive lost my mind.
kirk and HometimeQueen Thank this. -
kirk thanks it dnt seem like you make all that much being a l/o unless yhour talking all bills paid at home as well...lol or is it just truck expenses that your clearing that
-
Just truck expenses. But I think what Im making is a lot better than what I was making. 0% of nothing is still nothing. I look at it like this make a little money, and see the country, or set at home and look at the walls, and Ive watched paint dry for to long.HometimeQueen Thanks this.
