When should I put a two weeks notice . My 90 days is up on December third should I wait till after the third, the third or is two weeks before the third acceptable to not be financially responsible for training lodging and flight to trans am?
-
I would wait til after because TransAm will definitely hit you for that cost otherwise

To anyone, I would always recommend to go company driver with TransAm first. Exchange contact information with your fellow new drivers at orientation, then keep tabs with them on how things are going for them as new lease drivers. That way you can get information for someone you know from meeting face to face. In the meantime you will be making a paycheck as a company driver (some new lease drivers will not due to "negative settlement") , learning the basics with TransAm, then you can switch to lease later if you really think that it is wise from the first hand information that you gain..honeybadger. and HometimeQueen Thank this.

Isn't it risky to turn down 700 miles at $1.25 (or so) in the hope of getting something better? Has that worked regularly for you?

Hi all.. Don't know if jaso told you but I am laid up in the VA hospital in Kansas City. Had some very serious heart problems that I didn't know I had!! Had 2 stents put in yesterday. 2 arteries were blocked. 1 was at 90% and the other at 99%. Looks like I will have some time on my hands in the next week.. Should be discharged today but then onto a hotel room in Olathe because I can't drive yet..will keep u posted..
passport220 Thanks this. -
At least you found them before...and got it fixed!

My first symptoms started 3 weeks ago on the backing range at Olathe. My chest burned so bad all day long. I just figured I caught a nasty chest cold. For the next 3 weeks I got short of breath and the burning sensation came back every time I did any sort of exertion. Finally got into an urgent care facility and eventually here in the VA facility. I am very fortunate. I was a walking heart attack waiting to happen!!! I will tell everyone this, I had no clue it was my heart making me so sick the last 3 weeks... Maybe now I can really enjoy this job!!!

Tough thing to go through. Hope you will start to feel the benefits of getting that problem taken care of. God's speed on recovery!

EMCHIEF, I am so glad that you got medical attention before becoming one of the news stories we all hate to read about. Hoping you have a smooth and speedy recovery and get back on the road soon!
As for my own update, I'm still in the recovery truck. Pulled a load out of Auburndale and am getting swapped at KW in McDonough, GA where I am havng the dash cluster looked at. Probably just a software issue, my truck has done this 3 or 4 times already and is one of the things being fixed thos week in Olathe. Im getting an empty 2013 trailer and have a preplan to Ardmore. Woohoo! I have been beggng them to let me keep this truck all weekend and thatvrequest has been granted. Not sure if its because my truck isnt ready yet or just a matter of convenience, but I am getting my wish either way. Originally I was scheduled to Tcall to Olathe tomorrow. I am so in love with this ugly little truck. Its kind of annoying only being able to go 62 when Im used to doing 65 when I want to, but Ive been cruising at 59 anyway.HometimeQueen and passport220 Thank this.
