    Changed oil on truck at 422000, within 2500 miles had to add 1 gallon, 2000 miles later added another gallon, No smoke out of exhaust. Starting to smell oil burning when jakes on? No oil leaks. Trying to figure out where to start? No oil coming out of blow by.

    I have a 2010 isx too. I was told Cummins has a piston design change for our motors. I waw also told they are picking up the tab for parts and some of the labor for trucks out of warrenty. I didnt check where you are from but i would check with a Cummins dealer rather than a truck dealer. In California we have Cummins West dealers throughout the state so i'm sure they have like Cummins South, East, Central etc. We're in the same boat.
