ok so from all the advice i got from the does tanker back. ok so i now know they back. fine. but im not trying to run run run away from backing. just trying to make life easier. but if i dont work for the rails. pilot is hiring but i doubt 1 yr reefer will get me in. am i right? they dont show what the requirements are. anyone know.

A few drivers on this forum were hired by Pilot and Loves right out of CDL school. Must depend on what area of the country and if they need drivers.

each area might be different, i saw a posting at the Lebec FlyingJ they were looking for fuel haulers but they wanted I think 2 yrs tanker and fuel hauling experience.

Pilot or Loves sounds easy to me and it sounds like a great job. But do you also want weekends and holidays off? If so, then that might not work either. At least not until you get some seniority. It's what deterred me from going that route. My perfect match of 'easy' and 'local' ended up being out-and-back OTR (tanker) runs during the week, off weekends and holidays. I'm not home every night and I don't make 65k+, but the job is easy, no hassle, pays well enough, decent equipment and I'm home often enough and when I really want to be home.
