    Good Luck,

those are 2 of the main choices for us down here, in the winter.

    Just remember,

I have seen them halt orientations at the drop of a hat,

    but primarily in jan-march.

When I drove coast to coast with a reefer company; one time my truck was in the shop for a lengthy period. They had an older flat top governed at 62 that I had to use until mine was fixed. It was really plush inside and very smooth even of rougher roads. I decided to just keep the 62 mph truck and my weekly pay didn't change at all. Not having the extra 6 mph with the pedal took getting used to but it was worth it to me. I stayed in the slow lane and not near as tired at the end of the driving day.

62 should be fine with me. Right now what im trying to get planned out is getting my hazmat endorsement. There's a lot of processing and I don't even know if I will have time to even get mines because I heard they would have to re mail your CDL. After im done with school, I will only have a week left for orientation and I don't think I will have the hazmat process done by then. I will try later on when I can

Unless you lease or team, you'll have a lightweight at prime.

US Xpress is good for team drivers, and drivers that prefer to drive auto transmissions. But they don't hire students from Florida. Schneider sounds good and I was interested in them, but they told me orientation would be 14 days and that they would make me go to a training program all over again and I wasn't interested in that. Seeing me go through a 3 weeks program at Roadmaster, than another for 14 days, nope.

Who are you going to end up driving for?

And I like Schneider alot because they have a great military veteran program there as well. I know lately alot of the new drivers i have talked to who just joined Schneider said they did 3 weeks of training but 2 weeks were in class and in the yard just doing the basics and than the last week is over the road with a trainer, they just want to make sure you are ready to be on your own and you can handle it which I agree with them. After you get you're 6 months in than it opens up alot of opportunities for you.

I'm just trying to do all the research I can on alot companies before i get out of the Army in a few months and see what they all have to offer to me.

Yea but I got to hurry up since I will be leaving my job. I got a lot to take care of so that another 2-3 weeks of school going to hurt me bad. The 2 companies that are most on my mind and that I trying to make a decision to go to is either Stevens or Prime Inc.

Well I'm sorry to hear that, but out of those 2 choices i think i would choose Prime Inc not a bad place to start and you get like 600 bucks a week for training and I believe you get alot of raises per mile within the you're first year too.
