For going to the U.S. and Canada, How long do u usually have to wait in line up beofre u get to the first inspection? And where does the second inspection happen? Do u drive off somewhere or do u stay where u are and park it?

Usually going into cananda not the problem its coming back that can be a pain...first you have to wait in line for about 20 to 30 minutes when its busy. Then when you get up to the inspection officer he'll ask you a series of questions and if your lucky enough and don't get pulled for the second inspection you'll just proceed to the next gate pay the toll and leave. However if you do get pulled for inspection after go through the line of questioning he'll ask you to get out of your truck while he and another officers inspects your cab and trailor visually. Then He'll have you get in x-ray line in which you'll probably have about 3 to 4 trucks in front of you after your x rayed you park and go inside to get a dock assignment for your third inspection (this one's the longest). When you get to your dock they tell you got to go inside while they pull all your freight and visually inspect all of it. Then they tell you why they pulled you for inspection and its usually improper paper work in which case you'll have to visit your broker to get the correct paper work. After that's done then you can proceed to the toll gate pay your dues and leave. All in all if your truck gets pulled for inspection you'll probably be sittin there for about 6 hours. As for going into Canada I've never had any problems its always coming back to the us side.

Inspection? Two of them? Not at all crossings at all. Just a few questions, check your paperwork, go through the x-ray and off you go.
