You're with a trainer dependent on your schooling or lack there of. It can be up to 6 months. The dude I'm with now has been on a trainers truck a total of 4 weeks. He's finished with me and he's getting his own truck Tuesday when we empty out. Right out of school with no experience other than school is a six month program. Pay is every two weeks which for me works out great. If I take off an extra day or two I have time to make it up before my next pay period. Hazmat is not required, although its always good to have, as is a passport for Canada and a twic card. Time of is one for six. There a good company but like all the rest they have some issues.

Last word from above post, "issues", math being one of them. As in can't be there on your appointment time, do the math, i did and I keep coming up with the same answer. I'm still waiting on clarification on how me, David, this truck with this produce on is suppose to make it 2550 miles for 12:15 am Monday morning, that's fifteen minutes after midnight.........tonight. Having my coffee here at the Triple T in Tucson I still haven't figured it out. I mean really, 2550 miles, 31 hours from pick up to delivery comes out to a nonstop average of 81.45 mph. You think that's possible? Then trow in an 11pm phone call from dispatch turning us around in order to drop south to miss this snow storm does nothing but add more time on this trip. How long before they have programmable robots that can drive these things? Please hurry, take the thinking aspect out of my job!

Well, we are sitting in Deming NM because of a jacknifed big truck, then past that is road closure from las cruces nm to van horn tx. I left the triple t at 5am and made it to wilcox before the poop hit the fan. It amazes me how many trucks out here refuse to have a cb on. That driver that was passing everyone in the left lane at the 42mm probably wishes he did. He's now got his big truck all tore up in the median. Oh well, as soon as they clean this mess up we'll get moving.

I was EB on 80 in WY the other day, got stuck behind a rig on its side, blocking both lanes and the shoulder. Dead in the water for 2.5 hrs.
