Look in to Redi Mix companys. Driving a concrete truck in not so bad and it pays hourly so over 40 is time and half. Down side is, it slows down in winter. Some have their own end dumps, so that may be a option available.

 

You can look into places like bread delivery to the fast food shacks, soda distributors, milk routes etc. Every town has them you just have to look for them.

 

also look into food service companies they are home everynight and the pay is not bad but you do work for it.unloading the truck yourself is not fun.

 

The jobs are out there, bread companies, chips, auto parts, tire distributors, etc. its just a matter of finding one.

Some local companies will hire anyone. They usually just aren't the best to work for. But hey... getting a start is getting a start.

 

Look around at some of the local manufacturers. Many have their own fleets. I drive for a local factory, home every night, and made 50K last year.

 

If your not afraid of hard work, you will find local grocery work or food service that can pay between 45,000-60,000
per year. Many companies also look for shuttle drivers overnight to load there 28' trucks for the days delivery.
We keep hiring young guys out of school. They last two-three weeks and quit because of the work involved.
Us "old" guys keep saying this is a young man's job, but it seems only us old guys want to do it?

3.Two resturant and fast food suppliers
4.Fuel oil drivers,propane drivers and tanker drivers.
5.Two healthcare suppliers(Hospital and clinics)
6.Nursery and retail garden center delivery,also flatbed for some of the larger home improvement chains.
7.Beer and soda haulers
8.Milk haulers and water haulers(some are tanker,some are van delivery for retail)
9.Grocery store chains
10.Plumbing and heating supply(wholesale)
11.Construction supply,lumber,shingles,etc.
12.Electrical supply(wholesale)
13.Local produce haulers to local distributers
14.bus drivers for transit and charter work
15.Seafood haulers to warehouses and resturants
16.Heavy machinery hauling to jobsites from both construction companies and rental companies.
17.Entertainment industry,props,sets,lighting,to local sporting events,shows and concerts.
