If you're unemployed, the state will pay for CDL school at Roadmaster.

Agreed. Ridge Career Center. Every student that went thru when I was there had their tuition covered with Federal Grants. I paid about $200 total out of pocket. Their Financial Aid rep was excellent.

Why on earth does the state pay for the program at Roadmaster (private "school") when we have CDL training at Mid Florida Tech (public college)????? WTF?

Roadmaster wanted $6500 two years ago.
    Mid Florida Tech wanted $2100.

state paid for mine under unemployment my choices living in Brevard County were road master or TDI , they lied to me and told me I could continue to collect my unemployment while attending as well and once I started Road master yanked my pay Im still fighting to get back pay from them to the tune of 1900 bucks

why you ask , because this state is run by a billionaire

No offence irishlad, but the reason the state pays for your cdl school is because they don't want to keep giving you benefits and they want you to work. So since they front the bill for the cdl school they know you will be employed after you graduate so they cut your benefits. I know it sucks but they are not going to give your unemployment compensation plus a free ride at a school.
