ETCH5858 -question for my own curiosity: Are you governed at some mph? is the 57-59 mph cause you run there best for fuel mileage ? At any point does your truck shut down because of road speed ?
My truck is not goverened, I have experimented and have found my best mpg is in the 57-59 mph range. -
PitchforkedPineapple, Grijon, JustDoc and 4 others Thank this.

And yep makes sense to me about running smart for the money and not mileage unless it pays well -(in response to what you posted above). -

750 LHO, 20 DH, live (1.5 hrs.) / drop
204 LOH, 0 DH, D/H
555 LOH, 0 DH, D/H
775 LOH, 85 DH, live / live (3 hrs. total)
674 av. LOH
And ETCH lives in a pretty sweet spot and I believe every word.....in TX you never have to leave the state and you'll make a very good living. Pretty much everywhere else though, you need to run. I'm pretty sure this is my best week miles wise so far; I know revenue wise it is.
Point is, you don't have to drive 65-70 to make miles and money. Better planning and leaving the left door shut works better for me. I roll at 5-6, and stop by sundown.....every day.
One last thing you need to keep in mind, and ETCH will back me up on this; your #1 cost is fuel. when you learn how to manage that, you wull make more money.Grijon Thanks this. -
